Choo Choo Trip Balik Kampung

 Assalammualaikum and Selamat Sejahtera,

This is supposed to be another entry basi which I decided to jot it down so that my family and I can enjoy reading it later. The kids have been so fascinating with trains since Hadiff started to know the existence of The Chuggington and Thomas and Friends. My husband and I, we both tend to sort of enjoying and share his interest. We let him sat in the train whenever sent Angah to the railway station. We would alert him whenever we reached any railway track. We let him wait for the train to pass by Mak Jang's backyard in Kamunting. However, we never had a chance to let me ride in a train.

This was actually an adhoc plan. We did not really decide to use train to go back to Perlis visiting families. Plus Husna had a high fever the night before. However, 5 o'clock in the morning, we woke up and said to each other. LET'S GO! Both kids were asleep but we had no problem waking them up (not like normal days :p). They were both excited to know that we were up for a choo choo trip.

 We were patiently waiting for the train to arrive.

 Husna dozed off again the minute we were on board. She was really sleepy.

 Hadiff was super excited, he was walking up and down the isle.

 We went to the canteen and had sandwiches and milo. Husna was fully awake and it was her turn to enjoy the scenery outside, while Hadiff slept.

Kakak Deqda fetched us at Arau railway station and off we went to Mak Andak's house in Kuala Perlis. We were welcomed by our most loving and loved tok and my cousins. We were so grateful to meet them again during this year's raya.

OK! Now we move on to journey back home.
This time our mode of transportation is express bus. A comfortable express bus that offered us only rm10 for all of us to Alor Setar. Muurah!!

Transit at Alor Setar. Took a bus back to Sungai Petani that took a really loooooooooooooooong hours. Fuhh glad we survived the long hours without any of the kids throwing tantrums.

Husna did enjoy riding in a bus :)

That is all. We plan for another choo choo trip soon. The kids keep asking for it.

Pesta Durian Pulau Pinang 2012

Date: 1st June ~ 31st July 2012
Location: Anjung Indah, Balik Pulau and Balik Pulau town area

Wuu best betul makan durian mahal-mahal ni...saya memang hantu durian...memang dari kecik pantang nampak durian, sure suruh abah belikan... tapi mmg beli yg murah-murah jaa..yang longgok-longgok.. bila kita takdak sesuatu benda tu mmg kita appreciate walaupun durian yg dibeli tawar dan tidak sesedap mana...

Tahun ni, Mr Abah dah janji pada diri sendiri nak makan durian mahal..yg ada NAMA katanya, UDANG MERAH, LIPAN dan entah apa-apa nama lagi yg depa bagi.

So ujung minggu yang saya ada kelas mengait (heheheh saya baru nak berlajaq mengait tawww), Mr Abah ajak pi Pesta durian... fuhh!! ramainyaaa manusia!!

Mula-mula kami makan durian gred udang merah.. Hadiff dan sepupu dia Marcella memang excited sangat tengok durian ni bila apek tu buka depan kami...

Hadiff yang super comot makan macam tak pernah jumpa durian.:p

 

Husna pulak memang style dia, bila makan concentrate dan tak cakap apa-apa.

 

 Ohh tak jadik ni kena makan cepat-cepat sambil berdiri atas kerusi!

Habis sebiji, memang tak cukup, belilaaa lagi sebiji...gred apa memang taktau, tapi meeeeeeeemaaaaaaaang sedappp!!  Rasa macam melt in the mouth!

Alhamdulillah, tercapai jugak hasrat Mr Abah nak makan durian mahal..memang berbaloi sangat..
Kalau ikut nafsu mau nak tambah lagi 2-3biji..taapi haaizz sebiji dah dekat rm30..sendiri mau ingatlaaa...
Syukur sangat Hadiff dan Husna memang suka durian, memang hantu durian pun..pantang nampak.
So Mr Abah kenalaa belikan sebab anak yang mintak... ehheheehhehe..suuuuuuuukaaaaaaaaa!!

12 Feb, we had a meet up among MBW members.

We held it in Kulim.

Tried to lure more outside people to join us, but still end up with the same people.

A group of people who already know what is ring sling, ssc etc etc..

Planned to conduct a proper demo whatsoever...but ended up trying other people carriers.

It is okay, for a start just the six of us..hopefully more will join us in the future.

I

Ini kes adhoc decision by Mr Asben..a verrrrrrryyyy  nice adhoc decision.
He just sweetly simply said " Jom saya bawak sayang pi makan dalam hutan"
Haaa? What hutan? Thought Mr Asben was joking.
The journey to that hutan took us through a vast yellowish nice scenery paddy field, an eerie view of late day in hutan kelapa sawit and passed a very quiet rubber trees estate.
Aiiyoo memang hutan dah ni..
At the very end of the road, we reached a small jetty area with fishing boats scattered around the river bank.
Ahhh.. a very nice view indeed..and Hadiff was really excited with all the kapal bot.
We eagerly approached the compound, to satisfy our curiosity on what this area has to offer.
There was a small wooden stall just near the river.
"Takkan kedai ni kot", I said to myself.
but looking further up, we saw a floating restaurant, buoying with the river current...floating..(I mean really floating!) with no walkway (wooden walkway, not sure what is the right name for that) connecting from the restaurant to the river bank.
We had to use a boat, which owned by owner of the restaurant.

I could see Hadiff's face bimming with the excitement.
This is his first kapal bot real experience.

We had to use the narrow wooden walkway to move from the restaurant to the section where they breed fishes and to the floating chalets.
Hadiff care nothing on his safety which is our utmost nightmare.
He has shown to us his next level of bravery self exclaiming as nothing to fear if relates to water.
He reaaaaaaaaaally loves water and makes us wonder if we should send him to swimming class as early as possible.
Hahh enough with this karangan..don't know why so sudden I am writing like writing a novel..bluekk!

The ladies were curious about my ring sling.

It looked like I was doing the babywearing demo.

The Menu.

We had a delicious finger licking crab chilli, oyster d'bayu and udang celup tepung.

Hadiff kusyuk tengok Mr Crab dan ikan buntal.

We will come back.

Hadiff on the boat ride back to the jetty.

He had insufficient dose of kapal bot and wanting more.

The restaurant is not like those 5 stars expensive floating restaurant.

The menu offered there is similar to what we can find in a tom yum restaurant.

The price is affordable..I mean like a normal range in any road side restaurant.

But the best thing is..all the seafood are FRESH. Nothing is fresher when they caught it alive from the river based on your order.

So we did not have to worry on any contamination that might happen up there :p.

Mula2 Hadiff takut nak mandi..

 

Dah berani, memang suka hati sangat  sampai ketaq2 dagu semua.

 

Abah yg kelaparan pun takdak chance nak makan..dan as expected Hadiff pun refused makan bihun yg sedap ni.

 Finally, takmo balik... so had to make story pasal nak main goyang-goyang (gosh who taught him playground is goyang-goyang..haishhh..)

i don't favor gathered shoulder, so this is not for me.
still stiffla norley, like new..mesti hang jarang pakai kan...
masa mula2 pakai macam terkonpius jap..may be sebab reversible..nak threading tu tak tahu which colour with which colour.
confirmed!! i don't like double layer..tak kiralaa silk, cotton or linen.

Last Thursday on 30th September 2010, Hadiff turned to 2 and me turned to 32. Yes, we share same birthday.

We went to The Carnivall Water Theme Park in Sungai Petani to celebrate it. I was quite skeptical on the weather as lately, we had heavy rain almost every day. Thanks to God, we were blessed with a fine day and HadiffBolat had a great time there. Heavy rain had only reached there just when we were about to leave the place.


I guess HadiffBolat had the most fun fun fun time. He loves water sooooo much. He refused to get out from the pool even though he had already trembling with cold. He forced Mr Asben to sit with him in the pool together with other kids. In fact he had claimed one of the water gun as his and no one could ever be near it.


We also allowed him to have eeelahh??? (read:ice cream). He also got his privilege to choose the flavor. He did not care about his sister, treated like she was not exist. IT WAS HIS DAY!!


BabyHusna just slept throughout the day... inside the sling. Pity to moms with stroller, they seemed to be stuck under the shade when their babies were sleeping. I was a happy mom going here and there snapping photos with the sleeping baby tucked safely and snuggle against my chest. Promo sikit : so you should start babywearing today!!


Thanks Mr Asben for spending your time with us that day. We love you so much!

GoInG NuTs wItH CoCoNuT!!

This second pregnancy really urge me to crave for coconut water. I can't lay my eyes on any coconut pull cart at the roadside....kompem nak minum. Luckily, our kampung ada 2 coconut lemon pull carts yg without failure on every other weekend kompem akan singgah beli. You can't resist the sweetness of the young coconut, chilled with crushed ice bricks with a zest of lemon. Wallahhh..kena lak taim panas2 tengahari.. and cam biasa such goodness is much better to be shared with Mr Asben..tp kena sembunyi dari dakciklaaa kann..

Last Monday, we had to go to Penang to pick up my mother's diabetic milk from a friend. Since dah terlepas ke sana, we decided to drop by Abu Siti Lane to enjoy the young coconut water. We used to go there during dating time aka loving lovey couple days dulu.. now still is ahakss.. Since it was a humid day, we just had our kelapa pandan inside the car with the comfort of car air cond. Hadiff really enjoy his portion,oops not his portion tp Abah punyaa.. tp alangkah bestnya kalau nyoq tu xlaa muda sangat so that we can scrap the isi dan makan..huhuhuu kena pi lagik nih..Some benefits of coconut water:-

Proud to promote tempat makan beshh located in Bandar Perda.
A western food restaurant, exclusive and looks expensive but affordable eating-out place.
Owned by a Malay towkey so halal is definitely not a question, ya!

We did not plan makan kat situ but as usual the Q we always ask to ourselves whenever we are back into our car and moving back to Parit Buntaq from kampung...

"Nak dinner apa rr malam ni?"
"Jom tengok Nasik Itik bukak ka dak?"<--another marvelous kedai tepi jalan yg sedap hingga menjilat jari kaki.
So unlucky, xbukak.
Since we were near Bandar Perda, Mr Asben suggested Damiral.
Hm.. lamanya xmakan kat situ.. the last time was when we first dated, dated 4 years ago... walllahhh!!! lama tuu..

"Alamak Budak kecik ni nak behave ka dak nih?"
Yalahh kalau makan kat kedai biasa2 ja taklaa kesah sangat kalau dia main air, tumpah sana-sini.
Well, we could not allow him to do such thing kat Damiral.. kang kena halau laks..

Luckily, like our pray been answered, Budak Kecik nih seemed to adjust to the cozy, dimming light, romantic environment of Damiral, tempat orang dating.. hehehheh
Selamat..Fuhh!!

We ordered Texas BBQ Chicken for Mr Asben, Mexicana bla..bla..blaa for me and of course a creamy mushroom soup for Hadiff which Hadiff enjoyed so much..which it did taste like Campbell mushroom soup..*wink*

For the first time, Hadiff could sit properly and behave wonderfully in baby chair and we shared each other dishes.. But sorry Hadiff, Ummi had to sembunyi that yummy Chocolate Mint Milkshake behind the flip menu. Nanti Hadiff batuk..cakap dengan rasa bersalahnyaa..

The food turned out as expected..sedaaappp sangat.
Texas BBQ Chicken flavour suits to our taste bud, spicy yet sweet. Mexicana tasted like creamy sweet cheesy chewy chicken melting in our mouth at every kunyahan.. Mushroom soup tasted like a biasa creamy soup but Hadiff seemed to appreciate the dish the most.
I really approve the size of the bowl..actually like a fusion of a bowl and a plate..sooo Hadiff friendly sebab not a single drop of soup tumpah.. almaklumlaa Hadiff kan dah besaq, nak suap sendiri..



So, to those yg nak try.. just turn to Bandar Perda from SIRIM towards Jusco Perda..look for the Damiral (but do not get yourself confuse dengan Damiral Bakery) at your right hand side.
