Hadiff's Teacher's Day Gifts for his teachers

Hadiff doesn't really know what is Teacher's Day. I do believe, they did not celebrate the day yet at Hadiff's kindy..
Yalahh dahlaa newly opened and the kids are mostly 4 and 5 years old.
I wanted to sew a simple clutch for the teachers (ada 4 orang ja pun)....ceyyy verangan as usual la..
but since it is a last minute project and I was so tired, I only managed to whip up a very simple project which I had been planning to do for quite some time.

Can you guess what is this?
Tissue holder!! You can follow the free tutorial HERE. It is soo simple and easy to do.
I told Hadiff to say Selamat Hari Guru..but you know what..while passing the paper bag to cikgu Dayah.. (giler malas mak dia ni nak bungkus ka apa :p), he said Terima kasih!! <--sabaq jalah.

OK lah Hadiff ya, kasik can laa kat Ummi kan..ni first year nak act as a mother of a kindy goer.
Next year, I promise I will do much better (or beli saja...)

My first resewlution accomplished!

Assalammualaikum dan Selamat Sejahtera,

Erkk?!! Macam tak pecaya lak dah more than 2weeks I did not blog about ANYTHING!!
Kununnya must be a very busy month la kan..yeap memang busy.
Annarozy Kids Couture has stopped taking in new orders on dresses..I almost cannot cope with the rezeki Allah gives to me. Alhamdulillah..And thank you so much to all my customers. You rawks!!!

Okies, cerita Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah..I managed to sew something wearable for MYSELF. This is among my resewlutions for this year!
I went blog hopping in one fine day and came across this look-easy-to-sew-and-husband-approved pattern by WIKSTEN.

I knew I had to buy this pattern (admit I'm a pattern sucker).
Luckily, it is sold as downloadable pattern.

The instruction is easy to understand but however getting blurring at collar construction.I had to read and re-read the instruction. Apart of this, the sizing for this pattern is not really generous as I'm a M-L sized but I had to use XL for this pattern.

Well, finding a suitable fabric for this project is easy for me as knowing that this is a pilot project, I just selected it from my cheap stash that I have in by fabric container. RM12 per meter flowery fabric with rm6.80 plain cotton. However, choosing between tunic or dress length was a tough decision to make. And I was grateful for choosing dress length as it turned out to be a muslimah blouse. All went well and of course I was really excited about this.

I made some changes to the pattern. I lengthen the sleeve by 2 inches and added button to close the placket opening. And I am so happy with the result.

So here's the finished product.

And me,model pokok pisang who is super excited with her first wearable clothes sewn for herself.

I'm imagining this tova in plaid, plain and flowery motif cotton with pintuck placket, elasticized waist and sleeve. This tunic is soo me and comfortable. I will definitely whip up more tunics for my office attires.

Cheap plaid cotton, a nice english cotton, another cheap plaid cotton I found in a fabric store in Bukit Mertajam and a plain black cotton. I even bought extra metre for the red plaid as I planned to sew a summer blouse for Husna using the same fabric. Matchy matchy gitu. *grin.

Okie then, that's all for today.I still owe you the April wrap up on AnnaRozy Kids Couture.

Till then.
